The school year is underway and flying by. The 7th graders started the year with learning about computer parts and taking apart the computers. We are now learning the keys and the proper technique for typing. The 8th grade class is learning how to create documents in Microsoft Word. We are also exchanging emails with students in the Czech Republic and China. We are looking forward to learning how their lives are different than ours. In Accounting, we start the year with accounting for a one owner service business. The Computer Applications class is working through our new textbook for Microsoft Office 2010. So far we are learning about Microsoft Word. Personal Finance class is again using the Dave Ramsey curriculum. We are getting ready to start our unit on credit. In Entrepreneurship we have discussed the characteristics you need to be an entrepreneur and will begin focusing on business plans. The Yearbook class has been busy selling business ads. We have started taking pictures and learning how to use our software. We look forward to a great year focusing on 100 years of the Gophers!
