MO Entrepreneurship Challenge

The students in my Entrepreneurship class created business plans and entered them in the Missouri Entrepreneurship Challenge. In the first round, the students had to create a business plan about a product that could be sold at a school store.  One of the groups (Corby's Chocolate Pencils) made it to the next round. Team members were Maggie White, Luis Hernandez, Corby DeJong, Kevin Sturm, Brian West, and Josh Pickett. These students traveled to the University of Missouri-Kansas City to compete in the final round. While at UMKC, the students were paired with another school and expected to make and present another business plan. The final round's topic was to create a business plan about drone technology. The students didn't make it in to the top four, but they had a great experience. The MO Entrepreneurship Challenge is sponsored by the MO Council for Economic Education. Every student that attended received a $1,000 scholarship to the UMKC School of Business.
