Fifth Grade Works on Keyboarding Skills
Students in Fifth Grade this year are using the program Keyboarding Without Tears. They have been working throughout the school year to use homerow. This can be a challenge for students, especially in the world of Smartphones and Tablets that require using one finger to type. If you are working with a child, please encourage them to utilize homerow. As students use homerow they become faster typists and this allows them to complete assignments quicker. Students at this age complete a few short typing projects per year. As students advance in their educational careers they will begin typing longer projects. The faster students are able to type the easier that aspect of their projects will be. I am very proud of their accomplishments so far this year and look forward to this sememster as they increase their skills even more.- Mrs. Halley
