Board Election Information
Last week was Board Appreciation Week. We recognized our hard-working Board of Education members at the basketball game. Being a Board of Education member is a thankless job. These members volunteer at least one evening each month to provide direction for our school district. Please be sure to take the time to let your board members know the things you appreciate about the school and the things the district is doing that you like or would like to see improved.
Board members serve a 3-year term. We currently have 5 individuals running for the 3 positions that will be open in April. Those people are (in the order they filed) Keith Albrecht, Bridget Lee (Incumbent), Dennis Branstetter (Incumbent), Kathy White and Thomas Christen. Wayne Halter’s position is also up for re-election and after serving 5 terms , (15 years) he has decided not to run for reelection.
Board elections will be held Tuesday, April 4. Please take the time on that day to vote for the board members that you will believe best represent the students of the Green City R-1 School District.
