Learning Life Skills

November 30, 2017

Mrs. Lunsford's Senior Seminar class has been learning about personal safety and how to cook and sew.   Barb Littrell visited the classroom to teach students how to be safe on a college campus and in everyday activities like driving and using technology. In our cooking lesson, the students each demonstrated a meal that could be cooked in a dorm room. We ended that lesson by having Jean Heman come and make homemade crescent rolls. Let's just say we were the envy of the school that day! Kathy Hatcher taught the students how to sew on a button and fix a hem. She gave each student a mini sewing kit for them to keep. We are going to wrap up the year by going to Truman State to due mock interviews.
