GC Wellness Committee recruitment

The Green City R-1 School’s Wellness Committee meets four times per year to ensure our school's wellness program continues to meet District requirements. These meetings are open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. The Wellness Committee includes school administration, coaches, dietary, teachers, parents, district citizens, and students.

We currently have two high school student representatives on the committee. Unfortunately, both students are graduating this year. We are seeking at least two replacement students to join our Wellness Committee. Please check with individual program sponsors to determine if membership would count toward any volunteer obligation requirements. We are always looking for more interested members of our community to join as well.

Meetings start at 3:30 pm and last less than thirty minutes. If you are interested in joining our Wellness Committee, or have interested high school students (at least 9th grade please), contact our Superintendent Tennille Banner by calling 660-874-4128 or via email: tbanner@greencity.k12.mo.us .
