Junior High Boys Basketball
The Junior High Boys Basketball team is wrapping up their season this week with the Atlanta Tournament. There are 17 boys out for the team this year and they having been working hard to improve under new head coach Jamie Tipton. Members of the team include, Freshmen; Ty Ayers, Joel Barnes, Dominic Fude, Peyton Balfany, Ketch Rope Hamar and Arie Salas, 8th graders; Asher Buggs-Tipton, Kaden Hatcher, and Kaden Johnson, 7th graders; Xander Salas, Ty Hall, Tucker Tipton, Noah Tipton, Easton McDonald, Preston Balfany, Colton Hill and Jaden O'Haver. In conference play the boys went 6-2 to finish 3rd in the Tri-County Conference. The team also picked up non-conference wins against Grund Count-Newtown Harris and Brasher earlier in the campaign. On Tuesday the team picked up a win over Brasher in the opening win of the Atlanta Tournmanet, next up is a rematch with rival Novinger as the Gophpers look to avenge an early season overtime loss to the Wildcats with the winner advancing to the championship game.
