Plant Unit
As the school year is abruptly closing in on us we will finish strong with our unit on plants. We will focus on the lifecycle, plant parts, the function and roles that each part plays, as well as seed identification. We will also be learning about the varied ways in which seeds are scattered. A couple of activities that the students will be doing are creating an exploding seed pod that will be taken outside and burst to replicate seeds getting expelled into their natural environment. The students will also mimic bees (using a Cheetos activity) to scatter pollen on their designated flowers. Their curious minds and engagement within activities are a joy to watch as they continue to learn.
