Members present: Randy Hatcher, President, David Riddle, Vice-President, Tammy Kilgore, Secretary, Janelle Hepler, Treasurer, Chris Dickel, Member, Darrin Embree, Member, Donnie Campbell, Superintendent, Mike Rennells, High School Principal, Ann Gray, Elementary Principal, and Melissa Howard, Bookkeeper/Secretary.

 

Absent: Jeff Kimmel

 

Call to Order

President Randy Hatcher called the Board meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. David Riddle motioned to approve the agenda.  The motion was second by Tammy Kilgore. Motion carried with a vote of 5-0.

 

Citizens and Staff Communications

No Citizens or Staff Communications.

 

Discussion of Graduation Date

Discussion was held on the request to move the Graduation date to Friday, May 13, 2011.

Chris Dickel moved, second by David Riddle, to keep the Graduation date on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Motion carried 5-0.

 

EPN Update

Mr. Campbell gave the board an update on the EPN grant for the purchase of new technology. The EPN Board meeting is Wednesday, April 6, 2011.

 

Janelle Hepler entered the meeting at 6:11 p.m.

 

Substitutes

Janelle Hepler moved, second by David Riddle, to approve Amanda Hall as Kitchen, Paraprofessional, and Secretary substitute for the 2010-2011 school year pending a successful background check. Motion carried 6-0.

 

Resignation

Tammy Kilgore moved, second by Darrin Embree, to accept Mike Rennells’ resignation as High School Principal at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. Motion carried 6-0.

Chris Dickel moved, second by David Riddle, to enter Executive Session at 6:16 p.m. with a roll call vote of Hatcher-yea, Kilgore-yea, Riddle-yea, Dickel-yea, Embree-yea, and Hepler-yea.

 

The Board reconvened Open Session at 7:43 p.m.

 

Motion by Tammy Kilgore, second by Chris Dickel, to offer Jonna Ayers, Rick Ayers, Pat Bender, Jamie Halley, Elizabeth Halter, Glenn Palmer, and Dan Sullivan teaching contracts for the 2011-2012 school year.  The motion carried with a vote of 6-0.

 

Motion by Janelle Hepler, second by David Riddle, to offer Charlotte Bailey, Dawn Coy, Nancy Forquer, Andi Foster, Janie Gray, and Jennifer Peavler teaching contracts for the 2011-2012 school year.  Motion carried 6-0.

 

Motion by Tammy Kilgore, second by Chris Dickel, to offer Donnie Fields a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 5-0-1.

 

Motion by Tammy Kilgore, second by Chris Dickel, to offer Angela Fields a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 5-0-1.

 

Motion by Darrin Embree, second by Janelle Hepler, to offer Julie Caraccio a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. The motion carried with a vote of 6-0.

 

Motion by Janelle Hepler, second by Chris Dickel, to offer Becca Hess a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year.  Motion carried 6-0.

 

Motion by David Riddle, second by Tammy Kilgore, to offer Sherri Kent a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 6-0.

 

Motion by Darrin Embree, second by Janelle Hepler, to offer Hanna Snider a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 6-0.

 

Motion by Chris Dickel, second by Janelle Hepler, to offer Barb Tomlin a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 6-0.

 

Motion by Chris Dickel, second by Darrin Embree, to offer Teresa Dolan a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 5-1.

 

Motion by Chris Dickel, second by Darrin Embree, to offer LaCosta Rennells a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 6-0.

 

Motion by Darrin Embree, second by Chris Dickel, to offer Jessica Brownley a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 4-2.

Motion by Chris Dickel, second by David Riddle, to offer Danita Gordon a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 5-0-1.

 

Motion by Darrin Embree, second by Janelle Hepler, to offer Jerry Kiger a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 6-0.

 

Motion by Tammy Kilgore, second by Janelle Hepler, to offer Amanda Lunsford a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year.  Motion carried 6-0.

 

Motion by Janelle Hepler, second by Darrin Embree, to offer Wade Sorenson a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 4-2.

 

Motion by David Riddle, second by Darrin Embree, to offer Terry Hunsaker a teaching contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 5-1.

 

Motion by Tammy Kilgore, second by Janelle Hepler, to advertise for a half-time High School Principal position for the 2011-2012 school year. Motion carried 6-0.

 

The next regular monthly meeting will be Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 5:30 p.m.

 

Tammy Kilgore motioned with a second by Janelle Hepler to adjourn at 7:55 p.m. The motion carried with a vote of 6-0.
