Preschool News

I can't believe that we are in the second semester! Time is flying by! The preschoolers have been working hard on recognizing their name, learning the sounds that the letters make, identifying letters (upper case) and identifying numbers 0-10!  I had set goals for them and they have already met those goals, so we have set new goals for the second semester!

We have also been doing science experiments. We have made playdoh and slime. They enjoyed playing with these items after they made it.

Our cadet also performed a science experiment. She made corn kernels dance. She used water, vinegar and baking soda and of course corn kernels. The preschoolers could see that the air bubbles were carrying the corn kernels to the top and then popping and falling back down to be attached to another air bubble.

The preschoolers also learned that there is more than one way to blow up a balloon. We put baking soda and vinegar in a 2-liter bottle, put the balloon over the opening of the bottle and was able to fill the balloon with air.

We are growing and learning so much! I can't wait to see what goals we are able to accomplish by the end of the school year!
