High School ELA Literary Fair
As part of their first semester finals, the high school ELA classes created semester-end projects for a work they read during first semester. Their work was on display from Jan. 3rd through Jan. 14th. Projects included poetry, character autopsies, original drawings, 3-D (book floats, triaramas, mummies, sculpture), paperbag books, letters written from different perspectives, cardboard bas relief, and posters. Students also wrote reflections explaining why they chose to do a particular project; why they chose the particular story; what they learned about their particular reading habits, likes and dislikes; and what they learned about their own habits related to completing assignments and studying.
