Green City's Parents as Teacher's Program is off and running with over 30 children already having appointments for the new school year and more appointments being added daily to the busy schedule. If you are pregnant or have a child that is not in kindergarten, then you are eligible to get started with this prgram for your child. The program is free to everyone and includes a developmental screening during the year as well as personalized home visits to help your child get a great start to his or her education. Your baby begins learning at birth and the Parents as Teachers program can help you lay a strong foundation for your child's future success in school. In the first few years, your child will learn at a much faster pace than at any other time in her/his life. You are your child's first teacher and your home is your child's first classroom.
