Agriculture Education
The Green City FFA has taken off running this year! We started our year with our annual Officer Retreat, Battle of the Chapters in August, had a fundraiser to raise money for chapter activities, went to Area III Leadership Conference, started our trapshooting season, started selling kettle corn at the home ball games, went on a hayride, and now we are preparing for barnwarming. We have stayed busy so far this year and still seem to have had a great time.
In the classroom the students are learning the history of the FFA, preparing to recite The FFA Creed, preparing for speeches, and canning apples and pears. The Food Science classes are planning their Thanksgiving meals and preparing foods that can be made ahead of time.
